The Azalea Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society's Annual Plant Sale, with over 1,200 plants, is scheduled for April 22nd, 2017 from 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM or until all plants are sold. We are hosting the sale again this year at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1722 Oak Grove Road, Decatur, GA 30033.

'Jack Melton''Jack Melton', a Sommerville native azalea selection 

The sale features regionally grown plants, not typically available at local garden centers. Featured this year will be 30 native azalea cultivars from the Earl Sommerville Collection; Rhododendron ‘Mary Belle’ with a beautiful yellow, orange blossom and Rhododendron ‘Dorothy Swift’, a pale purplish pink blossom opening to white; Camellia japonica ‘Pink Perfection’, a formal double pink blossom; and Pieris ryukyuensis ‘Temple Bells’, with large drooping dense clusters of creamy-white bell shaped blooms in February. But we have much more. We will have over 500 native azaleas, 250 evergreen azaleas, 200 rhododendron, plus mountain laurel, pieris, camellias, and Southern native plants.
